The project’s main objective was an in-depth study of multiphase fluid movement in wells and pipelines, and the design of native software compatible with Iranian oil and gas data using the latest multiphase thermodynamic methods. Production system design challenges and uncertainties in pressure-drop correlations created a strong need for such software.
It removes the high cost of commercial licences and maintenance, and can easily be updated for Iranian experts’ needs — adding features that similar foreign software lacks.
